Bulldog girls run past foes in Carolina 1A meet

PRINCETON -- Princeton compiled 51 of its meet-best 93 points in the track events during a five-team, Carolina 1-A Conference affair contested at the Fred Bartholomew Jr. Athletic Complex.
Jasmine Bogle won the 100- and 200-meter dashes, and the high jump. Jasmine Bombard placed first in the triple jump and 300 hurdles. Nicole Evans and Kirsten Carter won the pole vault and shot put, respectively.
The Bulldogs placed third in the 1,600 relay.
North Duplin's Haley Thurston secured the 3,200 run, earned runner-up finishes in the 800 and 1,600. Teammate Deja Aycock seized third place in the 400 and ended up fourth in the 200.
The Rebels won the 3,200 relay.
