PIKEVILLE -- Northern Nash pushed five unearned runs across the plate and tripped up Charles B. Aycock, 8-6, in a non-conference contest Thursday afternoon.
The Golden Falcons committed three errors.
Ashton McGee (RBI), Noah West, Tim Naughton and Bobby Hampton (RBI) supplied two hits apiece for Aycock. Jake Naughton (two RBI) and Ben Rouse (RBI) each delivered one hit.
Logan Runyon started on the mound and permitted four runs (two earned) on four hits in 32/3 innings. He fanned three Northern Nash batters, but issued four walks.
Naughton yielded four runs (one earned) on four hits in one inning and took the pitching loss. Trent Herndon cleaned up with 21/3 innings of one-hit, three-strikeout relief.
"We did not play well yesterday," CBA head coach Charles Davis said. "The only good thing about it is it was a non-conference game. Maybe we will play better today."
The Golden Falcons (3-2 overall) travel to county rival Southern Wayne today.
