Despite stranding 12 runners on base, North Lenoir squeezed out a 5-3, non-conference win over Rosewood on Thursday afternoon.

Senior Reed Howell and Jordan Lynn (RBI) emerged as the Eagles' offensive leaders with two hits apiece. Jordan Gurley (RBI) and Corey Lynn each recorded one hit.

Lead-off hitter Bryce McKeel collected an RBI.

Freshman Boone Moody suffered the pitching defeat for the Eagles.

Noah Reese (RBI), Luke Jackson (RBI) and Brandon Moore (two RBI) each cranked out two hits for the Hawks. Chad Ginn, Seth Beard and Daron Gray each had one hit.

Tyler Smith drove in one run.

Landon Letchworth scattered four hits and logged eight strikeouts, but earned the no-decision in five innings of work. Ginn seized the victory with three innings of one-hit, three-strikeout relief.

North Lenoir (4-1 overall) improved to 4-0 against Wayne County teams this season.
