Goldsboro falls to Hobbton on baseball diamond

NEWTON GROVE -- Goldsboro plated a pair of third-inning runs, but Hobbton emerged victorious, 12-2, in a non-conference affair contested Friday afternoon.
Zach Falconer (RBI) and Damon Pate each had one hit for the Cougars. Falconer and Jared Howard scored one run apiece.
Howard endured the pitching defeat.
Goldsboro (1-1 overall) travels to Spring Creek on Monday.
