Rosewood nets season-opening win

Rosewood opened its 2014 season with a 7-2, non-conference triumph over county foe Southern Wayne on Thursday afternoon.
Two-time defending eastern 1-A singles champ Dylan Cuddington, Samuel Drew, Jordan Price, Jeremy Lintner and Jake Smith each posted a straight-set singles win for the Eagles.
Drew-Price and Smith-Joseph Waters prevailed in doubles for Rosewood.
Wesley Grady claimed the Saints' lone singles point. Grady and doubles mate Bobby Stocks handed Parrish-Lintner a loss at No. 2 doubles.
Rosewood (1-0 overall) visits Cleveland on Monday.
