Strickland notches hat trick (3 goals) in CBA opener

WILSON -- Alex Strickland recorded a hat trick (three goals) and Charles B. Aycock rolled past Wilson Beddingfield 7-0 on Thursday night.
Strickland got the Golden Falcons on the board in the seventh minute. She also scored on a penalty kick on the 16th minute and capped her scoring in the 58th minute.
Anja Kliss also scored a pair of goals. Sabrina Johnson and Emily Seguin scored a goal apiece. Aycock held a 23-3 edge in shots.
Sarina Lancaster and Gabriel Peterson combined for the shutout in goal.
The Golden Falcons (1-0-0 overall) visit North Lenoir on Monday.
