Rose, Conley dominate ECC 3A/4A championship meet

GREENVILLE -- J.H. Rose and D.H. Conley combined to win 22 of 23 events in the season-ending Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference men's and women's swimming championships contested inside Minges Natatorium at ECU on Friday evening.
Rose claimed the boys' and girls' team crowns.
The lone 3-A winner was Charles B. Aycock senior Devin Hall, who captured the 1-meter diving title two days earlier at the Goldsboro Family Y. It was Hall's third championship in his four-year career.
Eastern Wayne's boys finished fourth with 61 team points, while Southern Wayne placed sixth with 11 points.
On the girls' side, C.B. Aycock edged Eastern Wayne 49-48 for fourth place. The Saints took sixth with 36 points.
