N. Lenoir boys stun Goldsboro

La GRANGE -- Jaquez Jones led three North Lenoir players in double figures with 19 points in a 69-67 upset of Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference rival Goldsboro at Wooten Gym on Friday evening.
John Carlton and Jaroyce Mason added 15 and 12 points, respectively, for the Hawks.
Myron Carmon paced the Cougars' offense with 18 points, while Rasheen Artis contributed 16 points and five assists. Eric Bufkin tallied 10 points, while Tyrique Tyson supplied eight points and a team-high 11 rebounds.
Goldsboro missed nine free throws and shot just 2 of 17 behind the 3-point arc. The Cougars (11-5 overall) also committed 18 turnovers in their second ECC loss of the season.
