WCDS girls fall to Oakwood

Wayne Country Day fell behind early and never recovered in a 47-22 loss to Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference foe Oakwood on Thursday evening.
The Eagles built a 12-2 lead after one quarter and the Chargers never cut into the deficit.
Karis Hawkins led Wayne Country Day with 11 points and Kaitlyn Daniels had four. Kira Williams scored 15 points for Oakwood.
The Chargers (3-13 overall, 1-3 CPIC) entertain Freedom on Tuesday.
