So. Wayne girls fall in triple OT

WINTERVILLE -- Southern Wayne came up just short in a 71-68, triple-overtime loss at Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe South Central on Tuesday evening.
Zaria Atkins finished with 22 points for the Saints. Sharonne Maultsby contributed 17 points. Cierra Thompson and Latrecia Johnson each had 12 points. Johnson also pulled down nine rebounds.
Southern Wayne (10-4 overall, 1-2 ECC) entertains New Bern on Friday.
