Charles B. Aycock finished third in the team standings at the annual Falcon Invitational on Saturday.

The Golden Falcons tallied 130 points and were the top local team in the competition. Eastern Wayne finished fourth as a team and Goldsboro wound up in ninth.

North Pitt won the team competition and Rocky Mount emerged the runner up.

"As I have stated in the past the team continues to get better and this tournament proved it," C.B. Aycock head coach Ronnie Allen said. "I am very pleased with the team and the direction we continue to go in."

Zach Howard emerged the runner up for the Golden Falcons in the 120-pound division. Howard lost a decision to champion Wilson Smith from Rocky Mount. Tyler Marquard finished second in the 106-pound bracket. Josh Wallace was second at 152 pounds. Ryan Morton wrestled his way to a second-place finish at 182 pounds.

Jacob Dickenson finished third for Aycock at 126 pounds. Jaret Paynter took home third place at 160 pounds.

"Ryan Morton is the one of two seniors on the team and has served as the team leader this year," Allen said. "He continues to work hard each day and plays a pivotal role in helping influence the underclassman by his hard work."

Eastern Wayne's Quadrick Williams won the 160-pound championship with a 7-2 decision over North Pitt's Chris Hulon. Rashaun Pridgen wound up second at 220 pounds for Eastern Wayne.

Mario Harper finished third for the Warriors in the 106-pound bracket. Justice Johnson took home third place honors at 152 pounds and Jamal Barrett was third in the 195-pound wieght class.

Goldsboro's Jamelle James finished third at 145 pounds.
