Wayne Christian's Rendall takes first in 100 backstroke

Wayne Christian's Anna Rendall emerged victorious in the 100-yard backstroke and the Eagles claimed second in the meet-ending, boys' 400 free relay on Monday evening.
Rendall touched the wall in 1 minute, 41.92 seconds in the backstroke and took 14th in the 50 free. Teammate Grace Buddin placed third in the backstroke and 11th in the 50 free. Payton Jackson was fifth in the 100 breaststroke.
The foursome of Ethan Davenport, Will Gibson, Brady Sugger and Jackson Sasser combined for a time of 6:35.58 in the relay. Gibson also swam the 50 free along with teammate Stephen Whitfield.
Wayne Country Day's Robert Glass won the 200 free, while Zan Pittman took the 50 free in 25.93 seconds. Teammate Daniel Covert captured third in the 100 free.
Glass, Covert, Pittman and Charlie Dees combined for a runner-up finish in the boys' 200 free relay.
On the girls' side, the quartet of Kennedy Dalton, Katy Fletcher, Olivia Dively and Allison Bailey led WCDS to a second-place effort in the 200 free relay. Dively and Kennedy ended up fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 100 free.
Bailey and Dively captured third and fourth, respectively in the 50 free.
