ROCKY MOUNT -- Charles B. Aycock's Zack Howard and heavyweight Matt Teachey each emerged runner-up in their respective weight classes during the Grant Wilder Wilson Invitational contested at Rocky Mount Senior High.
Howard competed at 120 pounds.
Freshmen Tyler Marquard and Joshua Wallace ended up fourth at 106 and 152 pounds, respectively.
"I was very pleased with every wrestler," first-year CBA head coach Ronnie Allen said. "As a young team, they continue to learn with each match and mental mistakes are being replaced by instinct. Though we still have a little ways to go, we continue to make progress."
