* Girls basketball: Princeton 28, Cleveland 26 -- Jordan Benson led the way for Princeton with eight points. Jessica Brush added seven markers in the win. Princeton improved to 1-1 overall.
* Boys basketball: C.B. Aycock 53, Greene Central 39 -- Damien Darden scored 17 points and C.B. Aycock turned back Greene Central on Wednesday. Elijah Bryant added 13 points for the Golden Falcons. Montel Speight emerged the leading scorer for the Rams with 17 points. Brad Moore added 14 markers.
