New Bern matmen defeat Eastern Wayne

Eastern Wayne opened its Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference schedule with a 56-21 loss to New Bern on Tuesday evening.
The Warriors collected pins from 120-pounder Cainen Miller and 145-pounder Kevon Tune. Julian Bruton claimed an overtime decision at 160 pounds.
Rashaun Pridgen drew a forfeit at 195.
Eastern Wayne (3-8 overall, 0-1 ECC) travels to Green Hope for an individual tournament on Saturday.
