Rosewood cruises past Hobbton

Rosewood controlled the tempo throughout a 25-14, 25-15, 25-21 win over Hobbton in the opening round of the Carolina 1-A Conference tournament on Monday night.
Ellen Morgan led the Eagles with nine kills and one block. Anna Ingram dished out 10 assists. Hayley Mercer and Emily Brock each finished with nine assists.
Rosewood (20-2 overall) faces third-seeded Lakewood (15-7) in the semifinal round of the tournament at 5 p.m. today at Hobbton High School.
