EW netters finish regular season unbeaten at 15-0

DUDLEY -- Third-ranked Eastern Wayne capped its unbeaten season with a 9-0 victory over Southern Wayne in the Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference regular-season finale for both teams.
Faith Sutton, Savannah Sutton, McKenna Dove, Cameron Dove, Debbie Mitchell and Brennan Dove each collected a singles point. The tandems of F. Sutton-S. Sutton, M. Dove-Austin Jeffreys and Shirelle Cunningham-Jessica Roux also prevailed.
Eastern Wayne (15-0 overall, 12-0 ECC) and Southern Wayne each return to action next Wednesday in the ECC 3-A portion of the conference tournament at Charles B. Aycock.
