Playoff-bound Gators stop Rosewood

Spring Creek concluded regular-season play with a 7-1 triumph over Carolina 1-A Conference rival Rosewood on Thursday afternoon.
Anna Haggerty, Megan Jones, Madelyn Coates, Grace West and Cassie Alphin each prevailed in singles for the Gators. Carly Stevens-Coates and West-Alphin each claimed a doubles point.
Shayla Marak collected the Eagles' lone singles point.
Spring Creek (3-3 overall, 2-2 CC) clinched the league's No. 2 berth for the N.C. High School Athletic Association dual-team playoffs. The Gators, Eagles and regular-season champion North Duplin return to action next Wednesday in the Carolina 1-A Conference tournament at Mount Olive College.
