Kierski's goal lifts WCDS in OT

Matt Kierski scored the game-winning goal in overtime off Charlie Roethling's assist as Wayne Country Day slipped past Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference foe Oakwood 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Chargers have won five straight games.
Roethling gave Wayne Country Day a 1-0 lead with a penalty kick in the fourth minute. Ramel Carpenter scored off Roethling's assist in the seventh minute.
Oakwood got a goal back late in the first half and tied the game at 2-2 early in the second half.
The Chargers (8-6-1 overall, 6-2-0 CPIC) visit Pope John Paul on Oct. 8.
