Eagles drop tough CCC soccer battle

Northwood Temple punched in a pair of second-half goals and slipped past Wayne Christian, 2-1, on the Carolina Christian 1-A Conference scene Friday afternoon.
Holden Foster provided the lone goal for WCS in the 81st minute.
Each team had 16 shots on goal, but the Eagles owned a decisive 12-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Wayne Christian (1-7-0 overall, 1-4-0 CCC) travels to Cresset Christian on Tuesday.
