Faith Christian notches first soccer win of season

Jonathan Johnson punched in a pair of goals during Faith Christian's 4-1 triumph over Bethel Christian in a N.C. Christian Schools Association 2-A match Friday afternoon.
Noah Welch and Ryan Collier provided one goal apiece.
Head coach Eddie Smith cited keepers Troy Harris and Welch for their efforts while sharing goal-keeping duties. Harris had 10 stops and Welch logged five saves between the pipes.
Carter Hudson was recognized for his defensive play at sweeper.
Faith Christian (1-1-0 overall) continues play Tuesday at Greenville Christian.
