Princeton comes back against East Carteret

PRINCETON -- Princeton pushed across the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning and eliminated East Carteret, 4-3, from the NCHSAA Class 1-A playoffs on Friday evening.
The Bulldogs (17-2 overall) play host to Hobbton on Tuesday.
Charley Cox, Tori Paul (RBI) and Savanna Massengill (RBI) paced Princeton's offense with two hits apiece.
Paul earned the victory with an 11-strikeout effort inside the pitcher's circle.
