Webber named Carolina Christian 1A golfer-of-the-year

BUIES CREEK -- Wayne Christian's Bryce Webber finished second overall and earned the Carolina Christian 1-A Conference golfer-of-the-year award during a season-ending at Keith Hills Country Club on Thursday afternoon.
Webber fired an 18-hole round of 77 and helped the Eagles place fourth in the team portion. Northwood Temple emerged the CCC team champion and earned a spot in the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association championships.
"I'm very proud of my team today," Wayne Christian head coach Clark Rose said.
Webber qualified for the state tournament as an individual.
Ethan McKenzie complemented Webber with a 92. Tyler Lacerda, Baron Wise, Drake Wise and Will Garner also participated.
