Goldsboro Elite Martial Arts hosts two-day testing

Martial arts Masters from throughout the United States attended a two-day testing that involved students from Goldsboro Elite Martial Arts receiving their black belts in various forms of fighting.

Instructors came from New Jersey, California, Virginia and the nation's capital to assist Goldsboro's Master Carlos Martin and Master Eddie Brosseau administer the tests.

Five students became certified black belts in two styles -- American Tae Kwon Do Moo Duk Kwan and Ho Kuk Mu Sul. The quintet of Blake Summers, Donna Munier, Hadley Hann, Damon Meritt and Coltry Hann successfully completed the tests.

Master Carlos Martin, instructor and owner of Goldsboro Elite Martial Arts, became a fifth-degree black belt in American Tae Kwon Do Moo Duk Kwan. Martin was presented the belt worn by Grand Master Graham at one time.

Brousseau is a fourth-degree black belt in Ho Kuk Mu Sul.
