Rosewood secures dual-team tennis berth

Rosewood claimed five of six singles courts in a 5-1 triumph over Goldsboro and claimed the Carolina 1-A Conference's lone automatic berth for the upcoming N.C. High School Athletic Association dual-team playoffs.
The Eagles (12-1 overall) and Cougars (6-2) shared the regular-season championship.
Two-time Carolina singles champion Dylan Cuddington, Fouad Ismail, Hunter Hinson, Nolan Tubb and Tyler Power each prevailed in singles. Nolan Tubb dropped the first set and rallied past the Cougars' Jon Stevens 1-6, 7-6, 10-5.
Josh Matias seized Goldsboro's lone singles point.
