Fitzpatrick claims ECC singles tennis crown

Eastern Wayne senior Chaz Fitzpatrick repeated as the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference men's singles tennis champion with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over teammate Mitchell Kaspar on Thursday afternoon. Fitzpatrick did not lose a game during his title run and remained unbeaten in 15 outings this season. Fitzpatrick, Kaspar and their Warrior teammates return to action Tuesday against Washington in opening-round action of the 2013 N.C. High School Athletic Association dual-team playoffs.
