Rosewood picks up key road win

AYDEN -- Rosewood claimed five singles courts and swept the doubles during an 8-1 triumph over defending Carolina 1-A Conference champion Ayden-Grifton on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles' Dylan Cuddington, Fouad Ismail, Hunter Hinson, Nolan Tubb and Tyler Power each prevailed in straight-set fashion in singles.
Cuddington-No. Tubb and Fouad-Hinson each emerged victorious in doubles.
The Eagles (9-1 overall, 4-1 CC) conclude regular-season play at home Thursday against Spring Creek.
