Golden Falcons claim non-league slugfest

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock broke a 7-7 tie with three runs in the bottom of the third inning and held off Greene Central for an 11-7 win on Friday night.
Noah West led the Golden Falcons with two hits, a double and five RBI. Adam Pate (RBI) and Jacob Naughton (RBI) each added two hits in the win. Tim Naughton added a double and an RBI.
Bobby Hampton, the third pitcher of the game, threw four innings of two-hit, nine-strikeout relief.
C.B. Aycock (9-2 overall) travels to Southern Wayne on Tuesday. First pitch is 5 p.m.
