Wayne Christian comes back against Mt. Calvary

HOOKERTON -- Wayne Christian erased a four-run deficit and remained unbeaten with an 11-10, non-conference triumph over N.C. Christian Schools Association member Mt. Calvary on Thursday afternoon.
Victoria Combs threw a complete-game five-hitter and logged 15 strikeouts inside the pitcher's circle.
Brooke Barfield provided two hit singles. Georgia Parnell, Isabella Hernandez and Cassidy Davis each contributed a hit.
The Eagles (4-0 overall) travel to Carolina Christian 1-A nemesis Cape Fear Christian Academy on Monday.
