Herndon, M. Walton pace Aycock offense

Reagan Herndon and Madison Walton pounded out three hits apiece during Charles B. Aycock's 15-4, mercy-rule triumph over Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference foe Eastern Wayne on Tuesday evening.
Herndon and Walton each had two RBI.
Cierra Harris (RBI), Taylor Bradshaw (three RBI) and Abbie Walton each supplied two hits in the five-inning affair. Keely Fulgham (two RBI), Meredith Burroughs and Katie Gay (RBI) each supplied one hit.
Allie Phillips earned the win inside the pitcher's circle.
