South Johnston edges CBA in 8 innings

FOUR OAKS -- South Johnston plated the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning and defeated C.B. Aycock 5-4 on Wednesday night.
The Golden Falcons committed eight errors and all five of the Trojans' runs were unearned.
Bobby Hampton took the loss in relief. Hampton allowed just two hits in three innings.
Adam Pate led the Golden Falcons at the plate with two hits including a two-run home run. Tim Naughton added two hits and an RBI. Jacob Naughton tallied a double and an RBI. Hampton finished with two hits.
C.B. Aycock (4-2 overall, 2-1 ECC) will visit Rosewood today.
