C.B. Aycock needs extra inning to defeat South Johnston

FOUR OAKS -- Charles B. Aycock needed eight innings to get past Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference rival South Johnston 12-11 on Wednesday night.
Keeley Fulghum led the Golden Falcons at the plate with four hits and two runs batted in. Regan Herndon added three hits and three RBI. Cierra Harris and Jenna Van Horn each recorded two hits.
Meredith Burroughs got the win in the pitcher's circle with a complete-game performance. Burroughs allowed 11 hits and struck out four batters.
C.B. Aycock (3-1 overall, 3-0 ECC) travels to Rosewood today.
