Triton nips Southern Wayne, 7-6

DUDLEY -- Triton got critical hits in the late innings and squeaked past Southern Wayne 7-6 in Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference play Friday evening.
Morgan Best suffered the loss in the pitcher's circle for the Saints.
Hope Rose, Kelsey Hayes, Claire Kennedy, Amber Sasser, Savannah Wiggins and Katie Anderson each had a hit for the Saints.
Southern Wayne (3-2 overall, 0-1 ECC) travels to Cleveland on Tuesday.
