Pate homers in CBA's road win

ERWIN -- Charles B. Aycock earned a 9-1 victory over Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference rival Triton on Thursday night.
Adam Pate led the Golden Falcons at the plate with a home run and three RBI. Garrett Joyner and Noah West each had two hits. Alex Burt tallied one hit and one RBI.
Pate got the win on the pitcher's mound by lasting 5 1/3 innings and striking out nine batters.
C.B. Aycock (3-1 overall, 1-0 ECC) will host North Lenoir tonight.
