Saints double up Gators on softball diamond

DUDLEY -- Southern Wayne began its season with a 12-6 win over Spring Creek on Thursday.
Hope Rose led the Saints with three hits and an RBI. Kelsey Hayes finished with two hits and two RBI. Aubrey Sasser (RBI) and Hope Jones each had one hit. Morgan Best recorded the win inside the pitcher's circle.
Sydney Ocker tallied two hits for the Gators. Rachel McCullom added a home rum and Sarah Ford (two RBI) and Carrie Archer both a hit.
The Saints (1-0 overall) play host to Goldsboro today, while the Gators (0-1) entertain Wallace-Rose Hill on Tuesday.
