Burroughs slugs home run in CBA defeat

KENLY -- Charles B. Aycock opened its season with an 8-2 loss on Thursday at North Johnston.
Meredith Burroughs belted a two-run home run for the Golden Falcons. Katie Gay also contributed a single but Aycock had just two hits and struck out 10 times.
The Golden Falcons (0-1 overall) begin Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference play Tuesday at Triton.
