NCCU hands Trojan women first loss of season in tennis

MOUNT OLIVE -- Freshmen Maite Belloso and Paulina Delgado each posted a singles win for Mount Olive during its 7-2, non-conference loss to in-state foe N.C. Central on Thursday afternoon.
The Trojans suffered their first defeat of the season.
Belloso remained unbeaten in four outings this season with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at the No. 5 singles slot. Delgado improved to 2-0 after winning by the same score at No. 6.
MOC (3-1 overall) plays host to defending Conference Carolinas champion Erskine on Saturday. First serve is 1 p.m. at the Walker Tennis Center.
