CBA baseball team wins season opener

WILSON -- Charles B. Aycock got its season off to a strong start with a 16-4 thumping of Wilson Hunt on Thursday evening.
Greg Johnson finished with two hits and three RBI for the Golden Falcons. Noah West provided two hits, including a double and two RBI. Garrett Joyner had a triple and three RBI.
Adam Pate picked up the win on the mound with four strikeouts, a hit and a walk in two innings of work.
Aycock (1-0 overall) plays host to Rosewood today.
