AG boys pull away from Spring Creek

AYDEN -- Spring Creek's Jordan Hicks logged a double-double, but Ayden-Grifton claimed a 61-45 victory on the Carolina 1-A Conference scene Tuesday evening.
Hicks pumped in 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Gators. Brandon Gonzalez added 12 points and five rebounds. Tre Hammonds contributed seven points and five boards.
Logan Scott scored seven points.
The Chargers led 40-33 after three quarters and pulled away.
"Our guys battled really hard to continue to stay in the ballgame and compete all the way until the end," Spring Creek head coach Taylor Jones said. "I am very proud of their effort and we have seen continued improvement from our team."
