* Girls' basketball: C.B. Aycock 44, Cleveland 16 -- Quanika Lofton led the Golden Falcons (4-5 overall) with 12 points. Madison Wildman added 10 points.
* Boys' basketball: Eastern Wayne 50, New Bern 41 -- Jeremiah Miller finished with 12 points, five rebounds and four steals for the Warriors. Zeke Martin added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylen Thomas supplied 10 points and six rebounds. Darren Applewhite had eight points and seven rebounds. Eastern Wayne (8-2 overall) plays host to Havelock on Thursday.
* Boys' basketball: C.B. Aycock 57, Cleveland 40 -- Jimmy Ellis led three Golden Falcons in double figures with 14 points. T.J. Morrow and Bryce Jordan contributed 13 and 12 points, respectively. C.B. Aycock (8-3 overall) improved to 2-0 in Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference play and entertains Greene Central on Thursday.
