Cougars' Durham posts 3-0 record

BUNN -- Goldsboro grapplers combined for 10 individual victories during a four-team meet contested Saturday at Bunn High School.
Senior Kurtis Durham remained unbeaten in seven outings this season. he pinned Nash Central's Matt Masney, Bunn's Chris Smith and North Raleigh Christian's David Stacks while wrestling at 152 and 160 pounds.
Teammates Ricardo Exum (220) and ShaQuan Oliver (145) collected two wins apiece. Jamelle James (138), Nicholas Wiley (145) and Emeli Zelaya (195) each emerged victorious against Nash Central.
Goldsboro, which wrestled short-handed, dropped the overall outcomes against Nash Central, North Raleigh Christian and the host Wildcats.
The Cougars (0-7 overall) return to action Tuesday at Ayden-Grifton, the reigning N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 1-A dual-team eastern champion. Wilson Fike will also participate in the non-conference tri-meet.
