South Johnston shuts out Southern Wayne

FOUR OAKS -- South Johnston used its stout defense to shutout Southern Wayne 3-0 in the semifinal round of the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference soccer tournament on Monday night.
South Johnston faces North Lenoir in the championship game.
Southern Wayne (10-7-3 overall) returns to action Oct. 31 in the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs. The Saints will travel to the Waccamaw Conference champion.
