Eagles, Dogs combine to send three golfers to state meet

JACKSONVILLE -- Rosewood's Taylor Gates and Lindsey Burton each qualified for the NCHSAA Classes 1-A/2-A state championships following their performance at the 1-A East Regional on Monday.
Gates fired a 105 and Burton shot a 106 on the Bear Trail Golf Club links.
Princeton's Lacyn Hefflin shot a round of 93 and also advanced to the state championship meet.
