North Lenoir stuns ECC regular-season champion Cleveland

CLAYTON -- North Lenoir used stellar second-half defense to upset top-seeded Cleveland, 2-1, in the semifinal round of the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference soccer tournament on Monday.
Doerico Sutton led the North Lenoir attack with one goal and one assist. Justin Shimer added one goal and Michael Allred tallied one assist.
The Hawks (9-10-2 overall) travel to South Johnston on Wednesday night.
