Southern Wayne defeats North Lenoir in tennis

DUDLEY -- Southern Wayne easily put away Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference foe North Lenoir 8-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
Hope Jones, Taylor Davis, Mollianne Kennedy, Hope Rose, Claire Kennedy and Cierra Moody each recorded a singles victory for the Saints.
The doubles teams of Jones-Davis and Brittany O'Brien-Morgan Roberts also won. Southern Wayne visits Kinston today and concludes regular-season play at Charles B. Aycock on Thursday.
