JV sports

* Volleyball: Rosewood d. Goldsboro 25-18, 25-14 -- Jordan Martens supplied four assists for the Eagles (16-2 overall, 6-1 CC). Emily Brock had three aces.

* Volleyball: Ayden-Grifton d. Spring Creek 25-11, 25-18 -- Lexie Reyes finished with three kills for the Gators. Alexis Mecannas had two aces and Brittany Patterson and Alisha Gordan each had two kills.

* Volleyball: Freedom Christian d. Wayne Country Day 25-23, 25-15 -- Olivia Dively and Cheyenne Canuette each had four digs for the Chargers (2-12 overall, 1-6 CPIC).

* Volleyball: SouthWest Edgecombe d. Greene Central 25-17, 25-23 -- Brianna Blow and Kasey Turnage each finished with three aces for the Rams.

* Boys' soccer: Wayne Country Day 1, Oakwood 1 -- Hayes Gerard scored the Chargers' only goal on an assist from John Thompson.

Middle schools

* Volleyball: Freedom Christian d. Wayne Country Day 25-19, 27-25, 25-15 -- Kyara Drew recorded three aces for the Chargers. Cheyenne Canuette had three digs and two assists. Wayne Country Day (1-5 overall) plays host to Arendell-Parrott Academy today.

* Volleyball: Norwayne d. Greenwood 25-18, 25-16, 25-15 -- Norwayne (7-0 overall) travels to Rosewood on Monday.
