James Kenan stays unbeaten in Tri-County 1-A play

NEWTON GROVE -- No. 2-ranked James Kenan used stout defense and a big-play passing game to take down Tri-County 1-A Conference rival Hobbton 28-0 on Friday night.
The Tigers scored one touchdown in each quarter.
Quarterback Dominique Barnes was perfect 3-for-3 on the night for 138 yards and three touchdowns.
Gregory Washington added a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Tigers.
James Kenan's balanced ground game featured eight different ball carriers. JaQuan Williams led the Tigers with 59 yards on seven carries. Marcelias Sutton added 41 yards on seven totes.
Sutton grabbed two receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns. James Owens added one catch for 28 yards and a score.
James Kenan (5-0 overall, 2-0 TCC) entertains Pender next week.
