Chargers net win over Ridgecroft

Wayne Country Day posted shutouts in five of six singles matches and dispatched Ahoskie Ridgecroft, 9-0, on Thursday afternoon.
Gianna Democko, Sarah Best, Mollie Catherine McDonald, Meredith Roethling and Margaux Pope each claimed an 8-0 pro-set win. Fifth-seeded Abbey Pope prevailed 8-1.
The tandems of A. Pope-McDonald, M. Pope-Aimee Barnes and Anna Allen-Eliza Eagles completed the sweep in doubles.
The Chargers (6-1 overall) travel to Coastal Christian today.
