WILSON -- Charles B. Aycock senior Tara Simmons seized medalist honors with an even-par 71 during a four-team, non-conference meet contested on the Willow Springs Country Club links Wednesday afternoon.
The teams played 18 holes.
The Golden Falcons placed third with a three-player total of 277. Madison Aycock complemented Simmons with a personal-best round of 89.
"We played pretty well," Aycock head coach Roger Rhodes said. "That was a good experience for us."
Aycock begins defense of its Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference title next Monday at Southern Wayne Country Club.
