JV football: Best leads Eastern Wayne past Greene Central

SNOW HILL -- K.K. Best accounted for four touchdowns and Eastern Wayne held off Greene Central for a 40-34 win at the James R. Fulghum Athletic Complex on Thursday night.
Best returned the game's opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown. The Warriors' quarterback also returned a punt 60 yards for a score, along with a rushing and passing touchdown.
Eastern Wayne's Larry Newsome took a kickoff back 78 yards for a touchdown and Ricky Steiner hauled in Best's 45-yard touchdown pass.
Ramon Rowe and Isaiah King paced the Warriors' defense with eight solo tackles and two assists apiece.
